Day One at the VA Wine Showcase Ushers in Some Favorites & Notables!

18 Feb

I’ve just returned to my room from my first pass at the VA Wine Showcase ballrooms at the Crystal Gateway Marriott where I made a list of the wineries in attendance and tasted my way through eight or so tastings.

This timeout is to catch my breath and eat lunch! But I am so excited about what I’ve experienced so far.I’ve met some wonderful people (wine makers, artists, jewelers and fellow oenophiles alike!) and I’ve been introduced to Norton, a Virginia varietal I’d not yet heard of before.

I will blog more about my experience and post my tasting notes in the hours and days to come but here are a few favorites and notables!
